Please join SAE, BorgWarner, and the
Louis Schwitzer Award Committee for the presentation of the
42nd Annual Louis Schwitzer Award on May 17th,
2008.
The Louis Schwitzer Award is presented
each year to an individual or team that has demonstrated
engineering excellence and innovation in racecar design and
development. The award recipients receive a cash award from
BorgWarner, and their names will be added to the permanent
trophy in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame
Museum.
In addition, SAE will fund a
scholarship in the winner’s name to his/her engineering
school of choice, if the Award winner was a Formula SAE team
member while in school, the scholarship is increased.
BorgWarner enjoys a long-standing
tradition of engineering excellence and product leadership,
and the company sponsors this award annually at the Indy 500
to highlight its appreciation of superior design and
implementation.
Last year's award was presented to. Delphi engineers Erskine Carter, Glen Gray, Andy Inman, Tim
Kronenberg and Bruce Natvig for the Delphi Earpiece Sensor
System. |
