42nd Annual Louis Schwitzer Award Meeting
May 17th, 2008

Please join SAE, BorgWarner, and the Louis Schwitzer Award Committee for the presentation of the 42nd Annual Louis Schwitzer Award on May 17th, 2008.

The Louis Schwitzer Award is presented each year to an individual or team that has demonstrated engineering excellence and innovation in racecar design and development.  The award recipients receive a cash award from BorgWarner, and their names will be added to the permanent trophy in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum.

In addition, SAE will fund a scholarship in the winner’s name to his/her engineering school of choice, if the Award winner was a Formula SAE team member while in school, the scholarship is increased.

BorgWarner enjoys a long-standing tradition of engineering excellence and product leadership, and the company sponsors this award annually at the Indy 500 to highlight its appreciation of superior design and implementation.

Last year's award was presented to. Delphi engineers Erskine Carter, Glen Gray, Andy Inman, Tim
